Star Rug Cleaners is one of the first carpet cleaners in Santa Barbara. Well respected for over 80 years, there is a reason we're still around.
The first topic to consider when choosing a carpet cleaner is, "Does their price make sense?"
Does the offer of 5 rooms for $99 seem like you are going to get your moneys worth?
-Any good carpet cleaning professional knows a good job takes time and attention to detail. Spot cleaning and pre-spray treatments should be included for good results.
Most upholstery pieces are treated on site presenting a customer convenience and being cost effective. Based on the material, synthetic or natural fibers, a cleaning technique will be selected to provide the best results.
Wet Clean: Low moisture cleaning with a tepid solution is applied and allowed to dwell to loosen soil and then extracted. This technique is used on all synthetic surfaces.
Dry Clean: A non-water based cleaning solution of odorless mineral spirits is applied, agitated and extracted. This process is only required on delicate materials wich do not respond well to moisture cleaning.
Drapes, lined & unlined, sheers, vallances and roman shades are cleaned on site as well as removed and cleaned by our in-plant process.
On-site cleaning is more cost effective as there is less labor, however, the in-plant process is more effective for drapes and sheers.
Vallances and roman shades are best treated on site as the cost to remove and replace them may exceed the cleaning charge.
The cleaning process is the same on-site or in-plant. Both non-water based cleaning and water based methods are applied as dictatedby the material and the condition.
